EAST BAY ASSOCIATION OF LEGAL ADMINISTRATORS (EBALA) SUPPORTS WARDROBE FOR OPPORTUNITY CLOTHING DRIVE 2009 04.08.09 – Bring your gently worn professional clothing items to the VLA Walnut Creek office prior to May 4th 2009, for donation to the Wardrobe for Opportunity Clothing drive. Last fall - as part of Community Challenge 2008 - EBALA supported Wardrobe for Opportunity, a volunteer-driven non-profit organization founded in 1995 that provides professional clothing and career support to low-income jobseekers in the Bay Area. WFO has dressed nearly 14,500 low-income jobseekers since its inception in 1995 and also provides career support and counseling. These accomplishments could not have become a reality without the generous donations of clothing and money which WFO receives each year. Last October, EBALA not only solicited donations of clothing, but a group of legal administrators volunteered to participate in an interview clinic with WFO clients. Those EBALA members who participated were very impressed with WFO and the impact of their services on the community. The EBALA Board then voted to continue its relationship with Wardrobe for Opportunity and, as such, is offering members another opportunity to get involved. Here's how you can help: • Collect "gently used" professional clothing (clean and on hangers) and accessories for both men and women, as well as monetary donations. • Local dropoff location: Broad Way Plaza Shopping Center Concierge (next to Yogurt Park) 85 Broadway Lane Walnut Creek, CA 94596
