Through our attorneys and staff, Van De Poel, Levy & Allen, LLP is
actively involved in the communities in which we work and live.
In particular, we support the efforts of local philanthropic, civic,
nonprofit, and other community-serving organizations by encouraging
our staff to volunteer during and after work hours. We encourage
you and/or your company to do the same.

Lance
Armstrong Foundation
LAF
provides the practical information and tools people living with
cancer need to live strong. The foundation engages in cancer education, advocacy,
public health programs, and research.
Lindsay
Wildlife Museum
A
wildlife rehabilitation and educational center in Walnut Creek,
California, that focuses on native California wildlife and natural
history.
Oakland East Bay
Symphony
Among
other activities, the Oakland East Bay Symphony has a “Music
for Excellence” program which promotes music in Oakland’s
inner city/low-income schools. The Symphony’s Open Rehearsals
allow seniors, children, and low income members of the community
to visit while paying only according to ability.
Project
Inform
A
national, nonprofit, community-based organization working to end
the AIDS epidemic, Project Inform has been at the frontlines in
the fight against HIV/AIDS since 1985.
San Francisco Bicycle
Coalition
The
mission of the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is to transform San
Francisco's streets and neighborhoods into safe, more livable places
by promoting the bicycle for everyday transportation.

Eleventh Families for
Peaceful
Tomorrows
An advocacy organization founded by family members of 9/11 victims,
this organization works to find effective, nonviolent solutions
to terrorism while acknowledging the common experience of all those
who have been affected by terror worldwide.
Special
Olympics
Van De Poel, Levy & Allen families are actively involved as volunteers
for Special Olympics, including teaching swimming and other sporting
activities.
University of
California at Berkeley
Many

and remain active participants of the school’s academic and

Legal Services Program (VLSP)
An affiliate program to the Bar Association of San Francisco, VLSP
provides free legal aid to low-income and disadvantaged people,
including battered women, disabled children, abused seniors, homeless
people, and countless others.
