Partner Dan Serot joined the firm as a junior associate in 2003.  He now manages a team of associates and paralegals representing clients in areas of complex civil litigation and transactional matters.  His litigation team handles disputes concerning real estate, construction, personal injury and general business litigation.  As a leading member of the firm’s Business & Commercial Group, his practice includes representing individuals and businesses with respect to formation, contract negotiation, employment agreements, intellectual property considerations for trademark filings, prosecution and defense, as well as providing general advice and counsel.

Dan’s litigation experience includes working on high-exposure business disputes, as well as construction and real estate disputes representing partnership interests, owners, developers, and contractors.  Notable achievements include the successful litigation over a commercial building in the North Beach neighborhood in San Francisco, where Dan secured a judgment for specific performance to allow his client’s to complete the purchase of the building on their terms.  He has also successfully tried other real estate, construction and personal injury matters to verdict.

With respect to business and commercial matters, Dan assists clients with all facets of their business and legal needs.  He currently represents the largest independent concert promoter in the United States; a Silicon Valley Credit Union; a variety of real estate developers; construction companies; sporting goods manufacturers/distributors; apparel companies; and,  vehicle rental companies.

Dan is a member of the State Bar of California and The Bar Association of San Francisco.
