Jennifer Thomas is licensed to practice in both California and Illinois and joined the firm as Of Counsel effective September 1, 2007. On January 1, 2012 Jennifer became a Partner at Van De Poel, Levy & Allen.
Specializing in complex product and premises liability cases, as well as business litigation, complex construction, and malpractice and appellate work throughout the State of California, Jennifer's 10 years of legal experience brings a wealth of litigation and trial support to the firm's clients.
She has handled multi-million dollar wrongful death cases, products and premises liability cases in both state and federal court, representing local, national, and international corporations and organizations. She represents private industry, insurance companies, and self-insured companies of all sizes while litigating and resolving high-profile cases involving medical issues, employment, product liability, fire loss, industrial work place injuries, toxic exposure, and construction accidents.
Jennifer has extensive trial experience through both her work as a public defender in Illinois, as well as her civil practice in California. In addition to product and premises liability, she also handles cases for commercial and construction clients.
In addition to providing advice and counsel to clients, businesses, and risk managers, Jennifer has presented seminars to organizations and businesses on trial strategy and risk reduction techniques and has authored articles on liability topics and other legal updates.
She is a member of the State Bar of California, The Illinois State Bar, Alameda County Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
