VLA&S attorneys file a Motion for Summary Judgment on the basis that Plaintiff’s $813,000 damage claim against our client (the only Defendant in the case) was barred under principles of claim preclusion. The MSJ argued that a prior arbitration between the Plaintiff and a different entity barred the Superior Court action because our client was in a relationship of privity with the entity that defended itself in the prior arbitration. Following briefing, oral argument, and supplemental briefing requested by the Court following oral argument, our client’s Motion for Summary Judgment was granted, disposing of the case in its entirety.
