Mitigate your Risk in the COVID-19 World

(A comprehensive legal / medical approach)

In the current COVID-19 climate, there is uncertainty regarding how to safely reopen and operate a business, with the multitude of conditions for operation imposed by the State, CDC, County, City, FDA and ABC. Van De Poel, Levy, Thomas, Arneal LLP (VLTA) has put together a comprehensive legal/medical review package to simplify a cumbersome process and assist you in coordinating and complying with all of the different requirements.

The VLTA package includes legal assistance in preparation of a Risk Assessment of your business for the transfer of COVID-19 at your place of business and development of a Preventative Measures Protocol, which will be reviewed by Dr. Tom Luke M.D. (an infectious disease specialist with 20 years of experience in response and countermeasure development for pandemics of infectious diseases and former US Deputy Director of Population Health and Preventive Medicine – See Bio below.) who will participate in a virtual tour of your business and make recommendations with respect to your specific jobsite. VLTA has also developed a written waiver, which you may present to patrons, advising of the risks of COVID-19, and the patron’s acknowledgment that they are assuming the risk when visiting your business.

While no one can guarantee that you, your guests, customers, employees or their children will not become infected with COVID-19 or that no one will make a claim against your company related to COVID-19, what VLTA can do is assist you in developing a comprehensive legal/medical plan to reduce your risk of liability.
